Our Adventure: Baguio 2015

Recently my travel buddies and I are thinking about going to Baguio. We haven't settled which month yet but, I was hoping we could visit in December. For me, Baguio is my second home, my family and I used to go here often when I was a kid. Honestly, I'd love to experience living here, see what it has to offer.

Monthly Goals: August + Life Lately

It's that time of the month again, wherein I will share my goals for the month. To start, July wasn't really a good month. I was sick for almost the entire month. I'm feeling much better now but, the stress is slowly taking over my mind and body. Honestly, my body isn't really good in handling much stress. The more I force myself to do everything, the more stress is coming in. In my opinion, when I'm stressed the quality of my work sucks and, I don't like that.

So, this month, I will dedicate my time to do less to make more. The photo above is just a preview of my schedule for July. But, if you'll see my schedule for August, I'm sure you will cringe to see or even think how busy I am. The heart means it's a priority. On my August schedule, every weekday has at least 4 to 5 hearts. Basically, to be able to accomplish everything on my planner, I have to wake up by 4am or else, I will end up sleeping at 12mn.

From August 1 to this date, everything is not on my favor. My schedule has to be changed last minute and, most of my major tasks was needed to put on hold. Frankly, I dislike delay very much, especially if I know I have 5 priorities to accomplish and most of it are time-sensitive.

Anyway, what I'm trying to point out here is: If you are dealing with something similar to mine, what would you do? Would you lessen the priorities you have or keep pushing yourself to do everything even if you know you couldn't? I have thought about this deeply; I have chosen to let go of a priority because I don't want to jeopardize my other priority. It's hard to accept it but, it's okay to not do everything. Sooner or later, you will thank yourself for not juggling everything. Think about your health. Think about the things that might occur if you have forced yourself to your limit, would it be all worth it? I'm currently working on an article about this, I might post it after our exams.

Overview of my goals for August:
  • Dedicate time to do less to make more.
  • Focus on health

How about you? How was your July and, what are your goals this August?

Vintage Dress

Hello! I am back with another outfit post from our second day in Vigan! Before our trip, Keziah and I wanted to buy clothes purposely for our Vigan trip — something that somehow represents the city. We have seen a lot of ideal clothes for the trip but, I am not sure what happened because we ended up not buying anything. Lol

Honestly, I don't like buying things that I won't be using again. I am gradually leaning towards minimalism/essentialism. Luckily, when I was out thrift shopping, I found this dress that is not just ideal for our trip but, also good for an everyday dress. The dress is flow-y and has a very soft fabric. I didn't feel hot during our trip! Yey! This dress is originally from Marks and Spencer, I bought this for 200php! Hahaha! Sulit!

I recently had a haircut last weekend. My hair is shorter, though, I hope that will be my last hair cut because I want to have a long hair again. :)

It's few more days before August! I still have goals to accomplish! How's your July doing? My classes started last week. So far, all I can say is I feel really tired juggling everything. Phew! We can do this! I hope your July is doing great! See you on my next post! :* hugs!

Our Adventure: Bacolod 2015

January last year I hopped on a plane for the very first time. We headed to Bacolod, also known as the City of Smiles — to attend a wedding. I was beyond excited (and nervous) as I will be seeing Philip's hometown and meeting his family/relatives.

Philip and I are going back to Bacolod in September as a side trip before we head to Iloilo for Philip's nephew's Christening and birthday. So I thought, why not share with you our first trip together.

Our first stop when we landed was to have lunch at Chicken House. I finally had a taste of an authentic chicken inasal, it was so delicious! Remembering it now makes me hungry. Haha! I wasn't able to take some photos because I was so hungry! Lol.

After lunch, we headed to Philip's home to rest and freshen up before we start roaming around the city. Philip's home is so cozy! Hehe! <3

Philip was, of course, my tour guide for the trip. We didn't have an itinerary because we were just there for the wedding. My only request was for me to try new coffee shops. Hehe! #coffeeislove

During our free time, we went to the Public Plaza, San Sebastian Cathedral, SM, The Ruins, Kuppa Coffee and Tea Traders.

The Ruins is so beautiful! I highly recommend anyone who will visit Bacolod to add this to your itenirary. If you want to know more about the place, there's a guide available. We didn't avail it thought. :)

We had to wake up early the next day to prepare for the wedding.

That will be it for this post! I couldn't remember much about it anymore but, it was surely an awesome trip to start the year! I am very excited to visit Bacolod again! I hope to meet Philip's friends on our next trip and also, discover new coffee shops! :D

Striped Culottes

Culottes  a women's knee-length trousers, cut with full legs to resemble a skirt.

Good morning! Today is Sunday! I hope you will have a joyous day!

I wore this outfit on our second day in Vigan. Culottes is one of those fashion trends that I thought I wouldn't like. Personally, what I like about this trend is the ability of it to instantly make your outfit look elegant and put-together. However, I find it difficult for me to appreciate what I look like whenever I try to wear culottes. Lol. I still have a love-hate relationship with it, though.

"may binabagayan", in Filipino term.

In this certain pair, the fabric is thick and a little stiff. Maybe that's why an acquaintance of mine once told me I look wide on this. I bought this from a thrift store and, mainly bought this because of its pattern. I am thinking of buying another but not quite sure yet.

So, what do you think about culottes?

Monthly Goals: July

what my overview calendar used to look like. I made a new one today.
July will be the start of my very hectic schedule.

Hello! How are you doing? I hope you are doing great! I am getting better from a cold. Take care of yourself! Don't get sick like me, okay? :)

Today, I am going to share my goals for the month of July. June went by so quickly, isn't it? I wasn't even able to accomplish all of my goals for that month. Lol! So, for this month, I made sure each goal is achievable and detailed. Let's start!

  • WORK

01. Minimum 30 Lesson Hours - I started tutoring last June 14. So far, I am enjoying every lesson I have with my students. I think, setting a required hours would help me not over thinking it.
✗ 02. No Absent (office) - I am very thankful and lucky to continue working here. In return, I will try my best to not commit this and also, finish my tasks on time. Note: I will talk more about the story in a Self Improvement/How-To post.

  • BLOG

03. Three (3) Blog Posts in categories: a. Travel b. Self Improvement c. Style d. Beauty
✓ 04. 1k PageViews at the end of the month

  • SELF

05. Exercise 2x a week - I started working out yesterday, I was still sick but bearable. Also, twice a week is convenient for my schedule.
06. Do Something Creative - I have an idea for this but not quite sure yet. Any suggestions? :)
07. Look Presentable 100% of the time - OKAY! So, I used to fix myself before I started being a working student, which was before September 2014. Now is a different story. I'd rather sleep than do my make up or fix my hair in the morning. I must change that habit.
✓ 08. Declutter Wardrobe -  I am going to do the Capsule Wardrobe. Note: I will talk more about this in a Style post
09. Donate Unused Clothes - This is partially finished! I just have to give it away. I will give the first batch tomorrow! :)
10. Finish reading a book then write about it - This one is a challenge!

  • JOURNAL Notebook

11. Keep Track with the Finance Tracker - I am going to be strict with my money starting this month. A finance tracker will help me know where most of my money is going to. Note: I will talk more about this in a Self Improvement/How-To post.

As you may have noticed, I didn't set any goals for my school. I don't usually set goals during the start of the semester. I set goals after our prelim exams. So, those are my goals for this month! What's yours?

Going to Vigan — All About Convenience

Hello! How are you doing? I've been feeling sick since Tuesday afternoon. I haven't left the house since (Well, except for the time I bought medicines.) then, skipped work and some other duties. I feel awful. Now, I'm trying to combat my sickness by blogging, moving my body and helping my sister with some chores. I just need to sweat and not think about it...

Anyway, in today's post, I'm going to talk about the outfit I wore on our first trip of 2016.

Burgundy Cotton Skirt

Skirt: Thrift Shop | Top: Bench | Shoes: Solemate | Bag: Parisian

Hello! How's your weekend? My weekend is the usual busy weekend. Nothing new just a bunch of tasks to finish but, it's fine, I was able to sleep well last night. Anyway, before I do my tasks for today, I want to share with you this outfit I wore yesterday.

It's a marsala or burgundy cotton midi cap length skirt that I bought from a thrift store months ago. I bought this because of the fabric, it's so soft and thick. It's perfect for rainy days.

I've been trying to do the Capsule Wardrobe for almost 6 months now but so far, it's not a success. The only part of the Capsule Wardrobe that I was able to do is to sort my maybe pile and donate pile. This skirt is in the maybe pile. I decided to wear it yesterday to test if I want to keep it or not. My thoughts? I'm going to keep it. It's a versatile piece, I can wear it to any occasion too. I think, this is a nice piece to have in a Capsule Wardrobe.

Oh! One last thing, the place I shot this photo is used to be my favorite place in our house. This became famous photo op area because of me. Haha! Most of my ootd shots were taken here but, now, it's a mess. I hope it will be back to what it's used to; soon.
